Cornerstone Partnership

Mission

The Cornerstone Partnership provides a peer network for homeownership programs that preserve long-term affordability and community stability, helping more hard-working people buy homes today, maintain those homes and keep them affordable in the future.

The partnership has developed a set of tools designed to make it easier for homeownership programs to quickly adapt proven practices to implement the Stewardship Principles.

About the Partnership

A diverse coalition of organizations has come together to establish a set of principles and practices that we hope will become the norm across the country. Our members are policymakers and practitioners in housing who believe that the principles and best practices should be widely adopted. Our Charter Members include:

We also have a group of National Outreach Partners which are organizations with a national scope and a network of affordable homeownership affiliate organizations who work in support of the Stewardship Principles.

The partnership is open to anyone who wants to help promote best practices in the field of affordable homeownership.  The partnership has been specifically designed to support practitioners who are managing homeownership programs that invest public resources to make homes affordable to lower income families and provide ongoing support and  monitoring to ensure that those homes remain affordable over the long-term.
